46ft Catamaran Repower

We recently completed another exciting boat repower project, transforming this 46-foot catamaran by upgrading from twin Volvo Penta D2-40 engines to twin Volvo Penta D2-60 engines. Repowering isn’t just about adding horsepower—it’s about improving reliability, efficiency and confidence on the water. The new D2-60 engines deliver increased torque and performance while retaining the smooth, fuel-efficient characteristics that Volvo Penta is known for. After installation, we carried out sea trials to evaluate the new setup and ensure everything was performing as expected. It’s always rewarding to see an older vessel given a new lease on life with modern engine technology.
